A Mediterranean cardiology congress brought 1,200 cardiologists from 36 countries to Cyprus. Two years before it opened, we were already working with two ministries and the country’s hotel association, so that it arrived as a national occasion rather than as a booking. The Minister of Health opened it. The evening at the Presidential Palace followed.
